Job summary

EFP, LLC seeks a Maintenance Machinist in Bishopville, SC to perform precision machining in support of mold and manufacturing activities. The role requires reading blueprints/schematics, operating mills, lathes, and drill presses, and producing tooling for the maintenance department.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to handle daily reports, interpret manuals, and contribute to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Capable of passing Maintenance Machinist Test
• Read and interpret blue prints and schematics
• 40+ hours weekly
• Reading, writing and mathematics proficiency

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines, lathes, saws, drill presses
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
• Produce and maintain tooling for maintenance
• Perform repair services and construct items for new projects
• Read manuals, charts and instructions
• Submit daily work order reports and required paperwork
• Lead problem solving and train new maintenance team members

Maintenance Machinists must be mechanically inclined and is responsible for performing machine work to support mold and manufacturing activities.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

• Use of machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, saws, drill presses, etc.
• Use of micrometers, dial calipers, Vernier calipers and common graduated scales
• Produce and maintain tooling and support the maintenance department
• Perform repair services
• Construct machine items for new projects
• Reading manuals, charts, and written instructions
• Daily work order reports for each job performed and other required paperwork
• Reading and Interpreting Blue Prints and Schematics
• Leadership role in problem solvingTrain new Maintenance team members as needed
