Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately select products and prepare orders for shipping. You will stack items in stable configurations, label products, and move pallets to the dock using an electric pallet jack.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in coolers/freezers, and adherence to GMP and SQF policies. Prior experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is preferred, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0–1 year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to proceed to correct slot location and transport product to dock area for staging.
• Handle products with care and report any damage to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks and sign off on cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Sign in and out for all equipment used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
• Adhere to GMP and SQF policies and procedures as described in training materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
