Job summary

Serv-U-Success is seeking a Shipping Assistant in Grand Rapids to support warehouse operations, safely moving pallets, verifying outbound shipments, and updating line-ups using the D365 system.

You will regularly operate RF scanners and forklifts, coordinate with Meijer Distribution Facilities, and maintain accurate shipping documentation while upholding safety standards and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move pallets from staging lanes to loading areas.
• Inspect pallets for accuracy and damage, ensuring ASN labels match the load.
• Scan ASN labels using RF scanners and load pallets into designated trailers.
• Print and organize Bills of Lading (BOLs) for completed shipments.
• Communicate daily trailer line-ups and load statuses via email to Meijer DF partners.
• Maintain organization of daily shipping documentation and records.
• Use Meijer360/CINTRIX systems to coordinate inbound and outbound trailer movement.
• Secure trailers with Glad locks prior to loading and release them once loading is complete.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards by disposing of cardboard, plastic, pallets, and debris appropriately.
• Support cross-functional warehouse duties as needed and follow all safety procedures.
