Job summary

Encore at Wilmington is seeking PRN dishwashers to join our dietary services team. You will perform general cleaning duties, operate the dish machine, ensure sanitation standards, and assist with food delivery from the main kitchen to satellite kitchens.

You must be available for overtime, holidays and weekends as needed, and maintain confidentiality of resident information. Candidates should demonstrate good reading and speaking skills and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

• Adherence to sanitation and food handling protocols.
• Good reading and speaking skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties: floors, walls, racks, dish machine, etc.
• Dishwashing procedures will be followed.
• Timely and efficient delivery of food from main kitchen to satellite kitchens.
• Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.
• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Encore Village and regulatory authorities.
• Maintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents' rights and employee confidentiality.
• Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procdures.
• Attendance and participation in in-service training programs.
• Reporting of all hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Clean kitchen floor drains.
• Table and pantry busing
• Assisting in food preparation as directed.
• Full understanding of sanitation, foodborne illnesses and cross-contamination policies and procedures.
• Good communication skills; must be able to demonstrate effective reading and speaking skills.
• Must be able to work overtime, holidays, weekends as assigned.
