Job summary

A-Action Facility Services Inc is seeking a General Cleaner / Custodian to maintain cleanliness across facilities and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for clients and staff. The role requires attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced setting.

You will sweep, mop, sanitize restrooms, handle trash, operate cleaning equipment, and follow procedures. No formal experience required, but dependable teamwork and ability to pass a background/drug screening are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a drug test when required.
• Some prior cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to surfaces.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, fitting rooms, corridors, and store entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpacks, vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs.
