The Protein Therapeutics group within Global Therapeutics Research at Zoetis has the mission and responsibility for identifying and delivering novel large and small molecule therapeutics for a diverse array of indications. We are seeking a talented and experienced scientist to support cell-based effector function assays to characterize monoclonal antibody Fc subclasses in veterinary species. The incumbent will also be responsible for cell-based and protein binding assays supporting Parasitology projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of immunology, monoclonal antibody therapeutics, Fc effector function, antibody/protein binding kinetics, flow cytometry, cell imaging techniques and parasitology. This position will also work collaboratively with teams at remote sites.
The successful candidate will have a B.S (with 3-6 years' experience) or M.S (with 2-4 years' experience) with an emphasis in Immunology, Cell biology, Molecular biology or related field. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

The placement of this position will be primarily in Kalamazoo, MI. Occasional travel to other Zoetis sites may also be requested.
The person filling this position will work predominantly in a laboratory setting. There may be exposure to animal pathogens and chemicals. Strict biosafety and biosecurity training will be completed prior to handling animal tissues and zoonotic organisms.
