Qualifications

• EFDA certification or state-approved on-the-job training.
• Radiography licensure as required by state.
• CPR certification required.
• 1–5 years of dental assistant experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Proficient in dental charting software and digital x-rays.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors including charting, fillings, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Performs expanded duties per state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in procedures like fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and fluoride treatments.
• Maintains patient health history and charts in dental software.
• Updates patient treatment plans as directed.
