Job summary

D4C DENTAL BRANDS, INC. is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA/EDDA) to join our growing Maryland practice.

You will assist dentists during procedures, prepare instruments, maintain infection control protocols, and perform expanded functions within state regulations. The ideal candidate holds EFDA/EDDA and X-ray certifications, CPR, and nitrous oxide credentials, with strong patient service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EFDA/EDDA certification and dental X-ray certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Nitrous oxide certification, as required by state regulations.
• Ability to perform coronal polishing.
• Previous dental or medical experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures and help ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Perform expanded dental functions within the scope of state regulations.
• Take dental X-rays and impressions.
• Place and contour restorations, apply sealants, and perform coronal polishing as permitted.
• Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-treatment instructions.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Monitor dental supplies and help keep the office organized and efficient.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM to start.
• Opportunity to transition to full-time hours in 2027 as the office grows.
