Job summary

Anderson Smiles Center is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dedicated team in Ohio. You will support the dentist during procedures, perform expanded functions, and help maintain a comfortable patient environment.

We offer pay based on experience with an hourly range of $40–$45, plus a full benefits package (including a 401K). Experience with Open Dental is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as EFDA or dental assistant.
• Open Dental experience, with training offered to the right candidate.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
• Perform expanded functions including restorative procedures, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient visits.
• Provide chairside assistance and support to the dental team.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
