Job summary

North American Dental Group in Wexford, PA is seeking a full-time EFDA or Dental Assistant to join a patient-focused practice delivering best in class care. This role supports the Doctor and Hygienists, prepares patients for treatment, and assists in restorative dentistry.

Responsibilities include chair-side support, charting, sterilization, radiographs, and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and state regs.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Radiography / X-RAY certification for respective state.
• CPR Certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists including charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and ensures forms/signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during procedures per OSHA.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and required certifications and registrations.
