Job summary

Heartland Dental-supported Pickerington Family Dental is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. The EFDA must hold a current Ohio EFDA certification and will assist the dentist, take and develop X-rays, and support post-operative procedures in a fast-paced office.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, strong communication, and teamwork, with opportunities for ongoing education and core safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a current EFDA certification in the state of Ohio.
• Positive and outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent patient care skills and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take and develop X-rays and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures.
• Support the clinical treatment care of patients and assist the dentist as needed.
• Manage clinical supplies and maintain the supported dentist’s schedule.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies; participate in continuing education and training.
