Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in or graduation from an END program or related health care/science degree; ABRET EEG eligibility.
• One year EEG experience preferred; pediatric EEG experience preferred.
• Well-developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge.
• Effective communication skills, hard worker, and a team player.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEG procedures within credentialed scope and maintains a safe recording environment.
• Establishes rapport with patient and family; collects history and prepares data for reading physician.
• Assesses patient status related to care and electrode placement; recognizes drug and physiological effects on activity.
• Adheres to ACNS guidelines and maintains correct electrode connections; performs basic troubleshooting.
• Mentors EEG students and new team members; participates in department education and cross-training.
• Fulfills miscellaneous duties as requested by the department manager.
