Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years clinical EEG/EMG lab or medical assisting experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Thorough knowledge of EEG equipment and protocols

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings
• Assists physician with electromyography and positions patient for testing
• Keeps equipment clean and repairs minor malfunctions; initiates major repairs as needed
• Maintains patient confidentiality and records in line with licensure
• Transports patients ensuring safety and comfort during testing
• Entries in medical records within the scope of duties and licensure
