An established industry player is seeking a skilled EEG Technologist I to join their team. In this role, you will conduct EEG studies in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring high-quality monitoring and data analysis for patients experiencing seizures. The Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist I completes EEG studies in the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and in the outpatient Sleep Electroencephalographic (EEG) Clinic. This position will perform Continuous Electroencephalographic (cEEG) monitoring, evaluations, and data analysis of patients with seizures. This staff member will edit and archive EEG video data, ensure proper documentation, provide technical assistance, follow protocols, review data, write reports, engage in training, and maintain databases, equipment, the technical environment, and laboratory inventory. The incumbent will also explain procedures to be performed in a manner that is age-appropriate and understandable to patients and their family.
QUALIFICATIONS: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
EDUCATION: Must be enrolled in or have graduated from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Technologist (NDT) program.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of clinical experience performing EEG technologist duties required. Experience working with patient populations with disabilities preferred.
