Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a part-time EEG Technician in Manchester, NH to perform EEG tests, gather medical histories, explain procedures, and monitor patients. The role includes on-call rotations for nights and weekends among a team of five technicians.

Responsibilities include data entry, reporting findings to physicians, and maintaining inventory. Education requires a high school diploma; an Associate’s degree in clinical neurophysiology is preferred and EEG certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in clinical Neurophysiology preferred.
• Experience: Previous healthcare/ EEG experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: EEG Certification required. Registered EEG Technician preferred. BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.

• Perform EEG tests as requested by physician.
• Gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare the patient for procedure.
• Monitors the patient’s status and notes any abnormalities during testing.
• Reports findings to physician once testing is complete for further analysis.
• Enters appropriate data in computer modules.
• Verifies department inventory levels and reorders additional supplies as needed.
