Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Neurodiagnostic training program (or equivalent education/experience).
• BLS CPR certification (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine EEG tests, including impedance checks, photic stimulation, hyperventilation, and video monitoring.
• Identifies and reduces artifact contamination of EEG recordings.
• Maintains EEG equipment through calibrations and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Prepares test reports and maintains data, gathering patient history and medication information to aid neurologist's diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintains EEG supplies and a clean environment with infection prevention practices to ensure safety.
• Explains EEG procedure and preparation to patients to enhance understanding and cooperation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
