Job summary

Children's Colorado is seeking an EEG Technician Entry to provide beginner support in the EEG and EMU departments. This transitional position offers oversight by experienced staff and opportunities to gain competency in neurodiagnostic testing in outpatient and bedside settings.

Location: CSH Neurophysiology Lab. 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week), two 10-hour shifts weekly, 5:30am–4pm. Competitive benefits with potential growth into more senior roles as competencies are signed. Eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Actively enrolled in or graduate of ABRET recognized EEG training program.
• Six months of experience in Electroneurodiagnostics including clinicals.
• Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR.
• Board Eligible according to ABRET Pathways.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent EEG procedures as appropriate.
• Assists with special EEG procedures (neonatal, ECS, PET).
• Maintains equipment and lab cleanliness; reports malfunctions.
• Completes documentation and EEG clinical file prep.
• Follows 10-20 system for electrode placement and basic troubleshooting.
• Adheres to ACNS guidelines and safety policies.
• Observes and adjusts procedures as needed for each session.
