Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an EEG Technician Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The role centers on performing routine and ambulatory EEGs, with opportunities to hook up long-term studies under supervision and to learn EPIC-related EEG workflows.

Candidates may be enrolled in an accredited EEG program, or training on the job to prepare for an EEG Technician position. Strong communication, room preparation, and patient-family education are essential components.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum three months of experience.
  • Can be enrolled in an accredited EEG program.
  • Must have communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and Ambulatory EEGs.
  • Hook up Long Term studies under supervision.
  • Prepare rooms for EEG procedures.
  • Educate the patient and family regarding EMU monitoring procedures.
  • Perform EEG hookups and adjust as per International 10-20 system.
  • Additional duties in EEG lab as assigned by supervisor.

EEG Technician Assistant (Finance)

Nemours is seeking an EEG Technician Assistant to join our Nemours Children's Health team.

This position's main purpose is to perform routine and Ambulatory EEGs. This person will also hook up Long Term studies under the supervision of a Registered EEG Tech. This is a position for students of an accredited EEG program and/or training on the job to better situate them to graduate and qualify for EEG Technician Position.

  • Ability to learn and perform basic troubleshooting on EEG recordings including electrode hookups and basic machine issues.
  • Able to be trained in EPIC functions in relation to EEG lab.
  • Able to be trained in evaluation and analyzing scalp video-EEG studies.
  • Prepare rooms for EEG procedure.
  • Educates the patient and family regarding their EMU monitoring procedures, interacting according to patient's level of understanding.
  • Perform EEG hookups as well as fix or rewrap EEG hookup according to International 10-20 system.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities within the EEG lab, as may be assigned on occasion by associate's supervisor or lead tech.
Job Requirements
