Job summary

Archbold in Thomasville, Georgia is seeking an EEG Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will schedule patients, perform routine and sleep-deprived EEGs, and monitor patients during testing.

Job description

EEG Technician- EEG

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for procedures
• Gather patient's medical history, explain tests, and prepare the patient for his/her procedure
• Perform routine and sleep‑deprived EEGs
• Operate mobile EEG unit
• Monitor/reassure patient during testing - note findings
• Report findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis
• Maintain reports and distribute to appropriate referring physician
• Ensure documentation is accurate and timely
• Will cross‑train in department as needed
• Able to perform quality tracings using accepted ASET guidelines
• Able to function proficiently, tidily, and promptly without direct supervision
• Able to communicate effectively with medical staff
• Able to perform studies at bedside as required

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required
• Further education in neurology related courses preferred
• Certification required – or must be actively pursuing
• Current BLS certification required
