Qualifications

  • Knowledge of all phases of EEG testing; neuro ICU experience preferred.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in hospital or ambulatory EEG settings.
  • Proficient with pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize ictal and inter-ictal electrographic patterns.
  • Manage clinical seizures and emergencies as required.
  • Prepare patients, communicate procedures, and assist through all phases.
  • Use mobile unit as appropriate.
  • Properly use and maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

We are seeking an experienced EEG technician to join our team!

Job Details

Under general supervision the EEG tech performs prescribed radiologic/diagnostic procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with department policies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoke potential studies
  • Recognition of ictal and inter-ictal electrographic patterns
  • Manage clinical seizure and/or other medical emergencies as required
  • Prepares patient for procedures, communicates procedure, positions for procedure and assist patient through all phases.
  • Use mobile unit as appropriate
  • Properly use and maintain equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified END program. Board Certified (ABRET) or registry eligible
  • Knowledge of all phases of EEG testing, long term monitoring and neuro ICU experience required
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting, performing routine and complex EEG’s preferred
  • Proficient with Pediatrics (preferred), Adult and Geriatric patients
Salary Range

USD $24.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
