Job summary

Smart Staffing Group in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Registered EEG Technician to join our clinical team. The role includes performing routine EEGs on patients from neonatal to geriatric in outpatient and inpatient settings, following ASET guidelines.

You will enter raw data, prepare data for physician review, apply electrodes for adults and children, and provide descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms. Strong computer skills, critical thinking, and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Registered EEG Tech with at least one year of EEG experience.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routing EEGs per ASET guidelines on patients from neonatal to geriatric in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Enter raw data and prepare data for physician review; measure and apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients; descriptive EEG waveform analysis.
• Interact appropriately with patients and families.
• Edit 24-hour EEG data.
• Maintain equipment, stock acquisition stations, report malfunctions, and log records.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures.

• Appropriate patient/family interaction
• Editing of 24 hour data
• Maintains equipment, stocks acquisition stations, reports malfunctions, and records in equipment log book
• Follows existing hospital/department policy and procedures
