Job summary

Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital seeks an Electrodiagnostic Technologist to perform electroneurodiagnostic testing, including EEG, EP, and PSG, and to educate patients about procedures. The role requires prior EEG experience and ABRET eligibility, with ABRET registry exams within two years of hire.

Training may involve travel. Eligible candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED (or higher) with relevant experience, and may require knowledge of Nihon Kohden equipment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Credentialed as a Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (R. EEG T.) or board eligible by ABRET standards.
• Previous EEG experience required; familiarity with Nihon Kohden preferred.
• Candidate must pass ABRET Registry board exams within 2 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and prepares equipment/supplies for ordered tests.
• Reviews patient history, obtains necessary information and educates patient about procedures; monitors patient condition and reports adverse reactions.
• Operates and maintains EEG/EP/PSG equipment; recognizes and corrects artifacts.
• Scores/graphs, documents and reports results of diagnostic procedures.
