Job summary

PASCALL Systems is seeking a hands-on hardware engineer to take end-to-end ownership of electronics for our EEG-based platform in a hybrid Cambridge, MA setting. You’ll drive circuit design, PCB layout, supplier relations, and test coordination while collaborating with firmware and systems teams.

The role grows with platform scope and regulated development needs. You’ll mentor interns, use AI-assisted workflows, and maintain rigorous documentation for designs and tests, enabling reliable

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on electronics/hardware engineering experience
• Demonstrated PCB schematic and layout experience
• Strong fundamentals in analog/mixed-signal design — filters, conditioning, power management
• Comfortable working directly with suppliers and vendors — specs, issue resolution, delivery tracking
• Self-directed with a track record of expanding scope and responsibility
• Familiar with AI-assisted tools for engineering and documentation work

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and characterize analog/mixed-signal circuits for EEG signal acquisition
• Own PCB schematic and layout for test circuits and prototype hardware
• Select and characterize components for design requirements
• Support hardware/firmware integration and debugging across subsystems
• Manage supplier relationships and vendor coordination
• Coordinate testing schedules with ISO 13485 test houses
• Design and run experiments to validate hardware performance
• Perform circuit-level QC testing
• Coordinate cross-functionally with firmware, algorithms, and external consulting teams
• Document rigorous technical designs, test protocols, and vendor specs
• Analyze data with Python for basic processing
• Mentor interns on hardware fundamentals
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and documentation
• Apply AI tools responsibly in a regulated environment
