Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN seeks an EEG/EMG technician to support Neurology services. Under supervision of WTMG Neurologists, you will prepare patients, perform EEG/EMG studies per protocol, and contribute to accurate history taking and documentation.

Responsibilities include equipment care, infection control, patient comfort, transport coordination, charting, and occasional back‑up coverage for the Neuro Clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, interpret procedures and perform basic calculations.
• One year experience as EEG/EMG trainee or technician minimum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EEG/EMG and perform EEG/EMG per physician protocol.
• Clean machine and equipment daily; report any issues to supervisor.
• Change linen after each patient; maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere.
• Coordinate patient requests through the Patient Transport System.
• Complete charge slips and all relevant charting/reporting.
• Provide back-up coverage for Neuro Clinic when required.
• Perform Nerve Conduction Studies.
