Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking a Neuro Diagnostic Technician trainee to support comprehensive nerve conduction studies, VEPS, BAER, SSEP and EEG under physician supervision. You will collect, analyze and integrate patient information to tailor testing procedures and ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BCLS certification, and adherence to safety standards. Preference is given to candidates with formal neurodiagnostic training or BRDT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Neurodiagnostic Tech trainee with <1 year experience preferred in lieu of full program.
• Certificate by the Board of Registered Neurodiagnostic Technicians preferred.

**Overview** The Neuro Diagnostic Technician works under the direct supervision of the physician and manager to provide comprehensive nerve conduction studies, VEPS, BAER, SSEP and EEG. This may involve diagnostic and therapeutic service, patient care and education. Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history) and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or Medical Director, and department protocols. **What you will do*** Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with co-workers and physicians to promote efficiency and quality patient care.* Maintains current CPR or BCLS certification. Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues. Responsible for assuring safe practices as referenced in the National Patient Safety Goals, and support safe practices as recommended by the National Quality Forum.* Recommends and participates in resource changes that support cost containment and waste reduction.* Uses RMG standards of customer excellence to anticipate, meet, and exceed the needs of the patient.* Follows procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data. Performs data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free and make adjustments as necessary.* Evaluates sleep study related equipment and inventory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Reviews history, physician information, medications, procedure request, and study protocol .
