Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom in full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations
• Provide consistent supervision and care to support children’s well‑being and development
• Create a warm, engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and hands‑on learning
• Plan and implement age‑appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and daily routines aligned with developmental goals
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth through meaningful activities
• Observe, assess, and document children’s development and progress
• Communicate openly and respectfully with families about children’s daily experiences, progress, and needs
• Participate in parent–teacher conferences and program events
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑prepared classroom environment
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development sessions
• Collaborate positively with colleagues to support a respectful, team‑oriented workplace

Qualifications

EEC Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool) - required

Previous early childhood classroom experience preferred

Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Commitment to fostering respect, empathy, and a love of learning
