Job summary

School is Cool in Brookline, MA is hiring for Infant/Toddler and Preschool classrooms. This in-person role offers $20-$26 per hour, up to 35 paid days off for eligible full-time staff, and an inclusive, supportive team. A Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certificate and prior early-childhood classroom experience are required.

We provide professional development, employee childcare discounts, and a collaborative leadership team in a warm Brookline community, with shifts 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. weekdays.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certificate (Infant/Toddler or Preschool) required.
• Previous early-childhood classroom teaching experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a warm, safe, engaging, and EEC-compliant classroom.
• Supervise children attentively and support their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Observe children, document progress, and communicate meaningful updates with families through Procare and conferences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming classroom environment.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school community events.
