The Education Unit of the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) manages education for trainees including medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as continuing medical education (CME). The activities span multiple sites such as UCSF Parnassus Heights, Zuckerberg SF General Hospital, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, and offsite rotations. The unit includes various residency and fellowship programs, medical student courses, and visiting housestaff, led by the Vice Chair for Education.
The Education Programs Analyst is responsible for creating and overseeing clinical schedules for residents rotating in the Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Pediatric Emergency Department, and providing administrative support for the education unit. This includes coordinating program operations, scheduling, onboarding, evaluations, database management, and compliance tracking.
