Job summary

MSAD #6 Bonny Eagle is seeking an Educational Technician III at Bonny Eagle Middle School to reinforce learning under teacher direction and support literacy initiatives.

Responsibilities include assisting in preparing instructional materials, supervising small groups, and providing classroom management support under indirect supervision, with opportunities for in-service training and collaboration with teachers to promote positive relations with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in Literacy and supporting Literacy Centers is preferred but not required.
• Current Ed Tech III Authorization and CHRC are required.
• Document three years of post secondary education or 90 hours of approved study in an education-related field; or 3 years of paid employment in the field for vocational education.
• Participation in in-service training in the specialty area is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning as directed by the classroom teacher or content specialist or assist in drill or practice activities.
• Perform instructional, non-evaluative functions.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions.
• Introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher or content specialist.
• Supervise small groups of students in community-based programs under supervision.
• Specialized student supervision as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned by the position.
