Air Combat Command at Nellis Air Force Base seeks an Education and Training Technician to provide developmental care and instruction for children in the Child Development Center (CDC).
The role includes supervising a classroom for ages 6 months through 5 years, designing activity plans, addressing daily needs, and supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in a structured military environment.
The primary purpose of this position is: To provide appropriate, specialized developmental care and instruction for children in the Child Development Center (CDC). In addition, performs basic oversight and supervision for a designated classroom for ages 6 months through 5 years.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-1702-05: Applicant must have one (1) year of specialized experience for GS-1702-05 level positions includes providing specialized developmental care and instruction for children in the Child Development Center (CDC). Performs basic oversight and supervision for a designated classroom for ages 6 months through 5 years. Designs, implements, and reviews activity plans to include using own initiative to design and implement a variety of activity plans to stimulate and sustain the interest of children and to contribute to their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, attends to the physical needs of children such as diapering, feeding, toileting, resting, etc., helps children to develop self help skills.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-04 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. OR Education: I have successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
