Basic Responsibilities

Provides support services to special education students as well as other general support in the classroom and school. Various positions throughout the Grand Rapids Area SchoolDistrict for the fall of 2026, potentially including Grand Rapids, Cohasset, Bigfork, Early Childhood and Bus Support. All positions will be Special Education and/or Bus Support for Special Education students, Cross-Categorical/Multiple Disabilities. Schedule varies but will typically be around 6.25 hours per day on student days. Works student days; 167 days per year, plus training time, with full‑time benefit eligibility for a full year of work.

Starting Wage

$18.13 - $20.94 per hour based on experience. Grand Rapids Area Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

Either 60 college credits OR Paraeducator exam completion with a passing score. The Paraeducator exam is a basic skills exam in Reading, Writing and Math.
