Qualifications

Overview

Music & Arts is dedicated to transforming lives through music education, empowering teachers to inspire the next generation of musicians. Our flagship program, Be Part of the Music™, provides educators with free resources to elevate student engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
  • Forge meaningful relationships with educators, administrators, and key influencers in your territory, anticipating their needs and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans to expand presence and deepen relationships, driving sales and fostering trust.
  • Engage regularly through in‑person and virtual meetings, staying attuned to evolving needs and participating in conferences and relevant events.
  • Execute daily and long‑term tasks to sustain and boost sales, offering valuable insights to enhance both B2B and B2B2C experiences.
  • Champion the Be Part of the Music initiative, raising awareness and facilitating access to its extensive educational resources.
  • Collaborate with educators to devise strategies that enhance student participation and retention in music programs.
  • Provide support through recruitment, demonstrations, testing, fittings, and rental events, ensuring educators have the tools and assistance required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Business, Jazz Studies, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of band and/or orchestral instruments; prior experience advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for music education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Valid state driver’s license, automotive insurance, and willingness to travel.
  • Capacity to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including evening work availability.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous experience working with educators or within the music industry.
  • Fluency in Spanish for effective communication.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $45,000 - $55,000 annually plus commission, depending on location, background, and experience. This position includes a company vehicle.
