About the Role

After years of hard work, New Jersey already feels like home to Innovamat. With partnerships with 10+ districts — and growing to 25+ by August 2025 — we’ve laid a solid foundation across the Garden State. We’ve connected with over 100 districts and hosted our Enjoy Thinking Elementary Math Ed conference at Rutgers, drawing more than 100 passionate educators.

Now, we’re looking for a seasoned sales leader to own and accelerate our impact in New Jersey — full end-to-end. This isn’t just sales. It’s movement-building. It’s thought leadership. It’s your chance to reshape how math is taught in classrooms statewide.

What You'll Own

Full ownership of Innovamat’s growth in New Jersey — from top-of-funnel outreach to long-term district partnerships and renewals

Develop and drive territory strategy by owning all Go To Market tactics, doubling down on existing high ROI tactics and testing new approaches

Identify and secure new district partners, while expanding relationships with existing ones to double our reach in the State (reaching 5-10% market share)

Lead product demonstrations and math-focused conversations that go beyond features

Build and manage a strong pipeline of forward-thinking educational leaders across the State

Drive Innovamat´s brand and recognition as a Key Opinion Leader in Math across NJ by representing Innovamat at events, webinars, and conferences

What You Bring
  • Proven experience in New Jersey K–12 educational sales, ideally in curriculum or edtech

  • Deep familiarity with school district procurement and decision-making processes

  • Track record of success in both net-new sales and account expansion

  • Natural relationship builder — from classroom teachers to district superintendents.

  • Passion for learning, especially in math and instructional practice

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: proactive, scrappy, and energized by a blank slate

  • Willingness to travel frequently (50% of time) to schools across the state

  • Bidirectional coaching mindset: you are willing to learn from us, and are willing to teach us what you know that we don´t!

Bonus points if you have...

  • Experience teaching or working in math education

  • Built a territory from scratch in a startup or fast-scaling org

  • Existing network of district leaders in NJ

  • Familiarity with Building Thinking Classrooms or other conceptual math approaches
