Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership

Department: Educational Literacy and Leadership

We seek skilled faculty to support students in designing, conducting, and communicating research to solve complex problems in the SEAL context. The doctoral program comprises 54 credits, including various courses. Interested applicants should submit a list of preferred courses and a cover letter with their application.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver online instruction via BlackBoard, following the established curriculum and course design.
  • Facilitate synchronous course meetings through video conferencing.
  • Post announcements and updates to guide students through each module.
  • Provide timely, targeted feedback on assignments.
  • Respond to student inquiries via email and BlackBoard.
  • Deliver engaging content aligned with the course syllabus and program standards.

Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, Higher Education, or a related field.
  • Graduate-level teaching experience; proficiency with online platforms and instructional technologies.
  • Strong research and academic writing skills, including expertise in improvement science.
  • Ability to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Sacred Heart University's mission and values.
