Responsibilities

Supports classroom environment by fluent interpretation to facilitate communication effectively to and by students in the classroom.
Attains specialized vocabulary for student classes prior to class presentation.
Follows students' IEP as developed by the Admission, Review and Dismissal Committee.
Continuously improves sign language skills and level of competency.
Assists all students as support facilitators/interpreters in the inclusion model of education.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Maintains certification as required by certifying agency.
