Job summary

Exceptional Children Department is seeking an Educational Diagnostician to support Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. The role involves administering, scoring, and interpreting educational assessments for eligibility decisions, and collaborating with IEP teams to plan appropriate programs for students.

You will provide professional development to teachers, work across school and district levels, and help ensure compliance with timelines and policies governing special education

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field and valid licensure.
Experience with educational assessments and eligibility determinations.
Ability to administer, score, interpret assessments and collaborate with IEP teams.

Responsibilities

Adhere to state, federal, and local laws and policies.
Determine and administer appropriate standardized assessments.
Score and interpret test results; enter scores into EasyIEP.
Collaborate with IEP team and attend eligibility meetings.
