Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Educational Diagnostician to support students through psycho-educational evaluations, ARD meetings, and integrated intervention planning. You will coordinate referrals, obtain consent, administer instruments, write evaluation reports, and interpret results for instructional planning.

Qualified applicants hold a Texas Education Agency Educational Diagnostician certification, a Master's degree, and a valid Texas teaching certificate with three years

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited university is required.
• TEA Educational Diagnostician certification is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certification with at least three years of successful teaching.
• Knowledge of psychoeducational evaluation instruments.
• Proficient with district software and technology.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish and/or Sign Language) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide referral information to students, families, programs and professionals regarding referred students' needs.
• Obtain consent for psycho-educational evaluations.
• Utilize assessment instruments as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify eligibility for Special Education.
• Organize assignments to meet due dates and mandated timelines.
• Write full and individual evaluation reports to guide instruction.
• Attend ARD meetings and interpret evaluation results.
• Complies with all rules and policies related to special education.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
