Job summary

Queens Community House’s Queens Childcare Network seeks an Educational Specialist to coach licensed family-based providers and advance developmentally appropriate, NYCPS-aligned early childhood education.

The role involves office, field, and remote work with regular provider visits across Queens, plus monthly professional development and collaboration with Education Director and Health Monitors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• Experience teaching or working with children ages five and younger.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood learning.
• Ability to complete PETS Clearance and background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching and technical assistance to up to 17 providers with two visits per month.
• Support developmentally appropriate, NYCPS-aligned curriculum for children from infancy to five.
• Offer feedback, model effective teaching strategies, and support diverse learners.
• Review lesson plans and maintain records of visits and actions taken.
• Coordinate monthly professional development sessions and collaborate with staff.
