Job description

As an Educational Assistant with Student Transportation responsibilities at The Menta Education Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school. You will also be responsible for driving a route of students to and from school, using school equipment (van).

Location: Menta Academy Eunice, 1710 Ave. J, Eunice, NM, 88231

Required qualifications: New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) issued Educational Assistant License or NMPED issued Substitute Teacher License; Valid Driver\'s License and ability to pass safety/driving record criteria.

• Provide academic support within the classroom.
• Manage classroom behaviors.
• Act as a Teaching/Educational Assistant in the classroom.
• Drive/Transport students to and from school, using a school van.
• Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff.
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data.
• Maintain classroom order and safety (Security).
• Provide general supervision of students inside the school setting.
• Assist in the prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behavior.
• Maintain alertness for problems likely to disrupt the educational process or that may be a safety concern, correct and report these conditions; respond to emergency situations.
• Provide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviors.
• Think quickly, independently, and tactfully.
• Valid driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record and willingness to drive the student van.

• Registered Behavior Technician, Youth Worker, Mental Healthcare Technician, or ABA Technician experience is helpful.
