Job summary

Springboro Community City Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant for Springboro Junior High School to support students with identified special needs and provide both academic and emotional assistance to help them benefit from the district's special education program. Responsibilities

• Assists students in completing academic assignments and self-help tasks in all curricular areas, working towards completion of IEP goals and objectives.
• Works with small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Accompanies student(s) on class field trips or community experiences.
• Serves as a resource person, if and when requested, to the evaluation team conferring about the assigned students.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Assists the student(s) to whom assigned in such physical and personal daily tasks
• Demonstrates positive relationship with students, staff and parents.
• Establishes, as fully as possible, a supportive and sympathetic relationship with students.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SalaryandBenefits: Starting salary $17.97/hour and benefits as approved in the current negotiated agreement.
