Douglas County School District in Colorado is seeking an Educational Assistant IV - Vision to support students with visual impairments. You will modify instructional materials and assist teachers in classroom, one-on-one, or small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
Candidates should be eager to learn braille and pursue required certification within 3 years of employment, and be flexible to travel between district schools as needed.
Educational Assistant IV - Vision
The educational assistant for the program of the visually impaired is primarily responsible for modifying materials to enhance instruction as requested by the Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and working directly with students with visual impairments including blindness.
Must have a strong interest in learning braille and becoming certified either by the state of CO or the National Federation for the Blind within 3 years of employment.

Ability to run short distances
High School or Equivalent (Required)
