Essential Demands & Requirements
Environmental & Physical Demands
- Assist with toileting, diapering, feeding, and personal needs
- Supervise outdoor play in various weather conditions
- Work in environments with emotional or volatile behaviors
- Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Frequent bending, standing, sitting, walking; including sitting on the ground or low chairs
- Reaching, kneeling, squatting, pushing
- Use hands for keyboarding and writing
- Normal vision, hearing, and mental acuity
Responsibilities
- Support students with daily functions and life skills
- Supervise students throughout the day, including in the absence of the teacher
- Document health and learning progress as required
- Maintain professional development records and participate in training
- Assist with materials, interventions, and strategies under supervision
- Support students in non-classroom settings, including lifting children and equipment
- Maintain confidentiality and sanitation standards
- Administer medication and perform delegated medical procedures if needed
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and lesson materials
Certifications & Education
- CPR and First Aid certification from the American Heart Association
- High School diploma or equivalent required

Position Details
- Type: Regular, Part-time (0.94 FTE)
- Location: Variable Location Employee - SPED
- Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 180 days/year
- Salary Range: $19.84 - $30.55 hourly, based on experience and qualifications
