Job Details

Position: Educational Assistant IV - Affective Needs

Location: Eldorado Elementary

Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 180 work days/year

Salary Range: $19.84 - $30.55 USD/hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist special education teachers with instruction, medical, and health needs of students.
  • Provide clerical support and assist with daily functions like toileting, feeding, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with the special needs team and develop community relations.
  • Support IEP goals, maintain student records, and prepare instructional materials.
  • Supervise students in various settings, assist with transfers, and administer medication if needed.
  • Perform medical procedures and assist with therapeutic activities as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of 40-70 pounds
  • Frequent bending, standing, sitting, walking
  • Ability to run short distances
