Qualifications

• Education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent plus one of the approved criteria (ParaPro/ParaPathways, 48 credits with English/Math, or an associate degree).
• Specialized experience substitutions may apply as outlined by the department.
• Temporary and education-for-experience substitutions are allowed under specific conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraprofessional support in instructional activities as directed by the teacher.
• Tutor students and observe/report student progress and difficulties.
• Assist with social, vocational, and daily living instruction as needed.
• Support articulation reinforcement lessons under the direction of a speech pathologist.
