Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must pass Para-Pro Praxis exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the teacher in the instruction of students.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays using research-based programs/strategies in math, reading, writing, science and social studies.
• Provide research-based individualized and/or small group instruction and provide guidance for computer-aided instruction.
• Assist the teacher in preparing and planning the daily schedules and help execute the daily lesson plan.
• Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments and assignments.
• Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
• Assist in inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Perform other functions that may be assigned by the administrator or supervisor.
• Assist in parental involvement activities.
• Must pass a FBI/TBI background check
