Job summary

FOLEY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a full-time Educational Assistant for Foley Elementary School. The role supports students in a preK-3 setting, located at 743 Penn St., Foley, MN, with a seven-hour school day and start as soon as possible.

You will work under a special education teacher and/or principal, assisting students with disabilities and helping maintain a positive classroom environment. Requirements include an AA degree or 60 credits, and a ParaPro or ParaEducator certification; PCA

Qualifications

• AA degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro/ParaEducator passing score.
• Passing PCA online assessment.
• Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom setting; disabilities preferred.

Job description

Position Available: Applications are being accepted for a full-time educational assistant at Foley Elementary School.

Location: Foley Elementary School is a preK-3 primary school with 600 students and approximately 90 faculty and staff members, located at 743 Penn St., Foley, MN.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Essential Functions

• Educational Assistants work directly under the supervision of a special education teacher and/or the school principal.
• Educational Assistants supervise and work with students with physical, intellectual, and/or behavioral disabilities.
• 7-hour day (6.5 paid hours per day or 32.5 paid hours per 5-day school week)

Qualifications

• An A.A. degree or at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment. Information about the ParaPro Assessment may be found at https://www.ets.org/parapro.
• A passing score on a PCA certification online assessment
• Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom or educational setting.
• Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities is preferred.
