Heartland Technical Education Center Board of Education is seeking an Educational Aide/Tutor to support student learning in the classroom and online. The role requires a high school diploma and an Ohio Educational Aide Permit, with a teaching certificate preferred.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, staff and families to monitor progress and ensure safe, ethical conduct within a positive learning environment.

Formación

• High school diploma and Ohio Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education.
• Math or English Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Strong organizational, communications and behavioral management skills.
• Experience working with students, staff and the public.

Responsabilidades

• Assist assigned students as scheduled to plan, organize and implement activities that facilitate student learning in the classroom and online.
• Consult with classroom teachers to clarify student needs.
• Track and communicate program objectives and progress expectations to students/parents.
• Clarify and explain subject matters to help students understand concepts and gauge comprehension.
• Exemplify professionalism that advances the district's public image.
• Help students understand and embrace ethical conduct and values.
• Take initiative to perform routine tasks independently.
• Maintain open and effective communications.
• Keep current with technology and other skills associated with work assignments.
• Take precautions to ensure safety.
• Perform other specific job-related duties as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
