Base pay range

$18.00/yr - $31.27/yr

Duties
  1. Monitoring students during various phases of the school day.
  2. Providing assistance in toileting, feeding, eating, and personal hygiene.
  3. Supporting educational efforts in the Special Education classroom and general education classroom as needed.
  4. Performing administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments.
  5. Working with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator.
  6. Participating in Parent-Teacher conferences.
  7. Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • Two-year trial period may be required.
  • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
  • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of school-related matters.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; transcripts are required if qualifying based on education.

Experience required: At least one year of experience that prepares you to perform the duties of this job, such as progressively responsible clerical, office, or related work.

Education Substitution: You may qualify if you have 2 years (60 semester hours) of education above high school, or a combination of education and experience totaling at least 100% of the requirements.

You will be evaluated on competencies such as Communications and Media, Support for Special Education, Standards, and Teaching Others.

Foreign Education

If using foreign education, credentials must be evaluated by a recognized organization to ensure equivalency to U.S. education standards.
