Job summary

Preble County Educational Service Center in Eaton, Ohio is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aide in the MD classroom program. These are full-time positions with start date as soon as possible, following the school calendar.

You will work closely with MD staff to implement teacher-planned activities and behavior plans. Responsibilities include ensuring student safety, modeling respectful communication, supervising in various settings, and documenting charting of behavior

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ohio Educational Aide certificate required.

• Physically capable of CPI techniques when necessary.

Job Description

The Preble County ESC is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aides in our MD classroom program. These are full-time (Days based on School Calendar) positions with a start date of as soon as possible.

Salary

Salary: Starting at $15.80 per hour/based on experience

Essential Functions

• Ensure the safetyof students
• Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
• Interact in a positive manner with students, staff, parents, and administrators
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of teacher-planned activities
• Supervise and monitor students in all school settings based on behavioral management plans
• Work with other MD staff in team decision-making
• Assist students in the creation of recovery plans based on behavior management plans developed by teachers/supervisors
• Assist in the completion of necessary documentationand paperwork for charting behavior and academic progress
• Attend work regularly and punctually
• Demonstrate positive work ethic
