Job summary

The Preble County ESC is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aide in our Multiple Disabilities classroom program. This is a full-time position with a start date as soon as possible.

Under the immediate supervision of the classroom teacher, provide assistance to students in the MD program, prepare and present activities, supervise and fulfill behavior plan directives. A HS diploma and Ohio Educational Aide certificate are required, along with a clear background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred.
• Must obtain Ohio Educational Aide certificate if not already held.
• Clear background check required.
• Ability to safely apply CPI techniques when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the Multiple Disabilities program under teacher supervision.
• Assist in preparing and presenting teacher-planned activities.
• Supervise students and monitor in all school settings per behavior plans.
• Contribute to the development of recovery or behavior management plans.
• Complete necessary documentation for charting behavior and academic progress.
• Maintain punctual attendance and demonstrate a positive work ethic.

Job description

The Preble County ESC is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aides in our MD classroom program. These are full-time (Days based on School Calendar) positions with a start date of as soon as possible.

Description:

Under the immediate supervision of the classroom teacher, provide assistance to students in the Multiple Disabilities program in preparation and presentation of activities, supervision, and fulfilling behavior management plan directives.

Salary:

Starting at $15.80 per hour/based on experience

Essential Functions

• Ensure the safety of students
• Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
• Interact in a positive manner with students, staff, parents, and administrators
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of teacher-planned activities
• Supervise and monitor students in all school settings based on behavioral management plans
• Work with other MD staff in team decision-making
• Assist students in the creation of recovery plans based on behavior management plans developed by teachers/supervisors
• Assist in the completion of necessary documentation and paperwork for charting behavior and academic progress
• Attend work regularly and punctually
• Demonstrate positive work ethic
